Built
in the 1700's, Jack's was originally a farm workers cottage
used by farm hands working at Foales Leigh Farm. In the 1930's
it became home to Jack Creber, a hard drinking local
legend who's drinking exploits led to him being found
passed out in a field, completely covered in frost one
morning. He was awoken from his slumber by the farmer,
seemingly non the worst for wear! Thus the reason behind
the names of our cottages. |
