We have
put together a small list of places to eat. We enjoy good food and wine and can
recommend the following pubs / restaurants. From our own holiday experiences we
have found
that a list such as this is really helpful:

This is
the closest pub to Jack’s, and is within a good 20 minute walk.
It is a 13
Century Inn serving good pub food and has a lovely
atmosphere.
White Hart, Dartington Hall, Totnes Tel: 01803 847111 dartingtonhall.com
This
restaurant / pub is set within the Dartington Hall Gardens, so for Summer it is
perfect
for enjoying a leisurely lunch on the lawn. For the wetter days you can
eat in the grand hall
with vaulted ceilings. Somewhere Martyn and I often
visit!!

We have
enjoyed some excellent meals in this restaurant. Definitely one for a special
occasion.
It is at the bottom of Totnes high street, and serves excellent
food.

A lovely
pub / restaurant, esp. in the Summer. The pub is right on the river side.
You
can either enjoy a light lunch by the river, or a beautiful evening meal in the
conservatory. Well recommended.

it here! A delightful, traditional waterside pub with good food. A beautiful
location, esp.
when the tide is Inn. A good 40 minute
drive.

Obviously a seafood lover would be in heaven here. A unique dining
experience, with a simple unhurried
atmosphere. Perfect for dinner on the way
home from the beach.

Set in a
beautiful location on the river. Excellent quality of food and service. Perfect
for either lunch
on a sunny day or a meal in the restaurant in the evening. A
favourite for us is to sit by the river
on a summer’s evening and watch the
world go by.
